Living in Thailand we have seen a lot of temples. Perhaps too many temples! But we now think Wat Phasorn Kaew (The Temple On The Glass Cliff) is THE BEST TEMPLE IN THAILAND! Honestly, this place blew us all away. The attention to detail, the colours, the size, the location, the multilevel Buddha image, the lack of tourists and the free entry all added up to making this place well worth a visit. It's a little out of the way, but we think this temple is worth the trip. Wat Phasorn Kaew is in between Phitsanulok and Khao Koh off of Highway 12.
Don't eat too much before you get there because the Waffles at Pino Latte cafe opposite the temple are large and delicious. Pay them a visit too if you are up there :-)
