Decided to get out of the city today and tried some fishing in the countryside. This was about an hour drive on the motorbike from Ho Chi Minh City. It's an agricultural area, which can be hit or miss for fishing.

I’ve been living in Vietnam since 2014 and enjoying every bit of it. Trying to learn the ways of a local, one step at a time.

Equipment:
One 3-meter telescopic fishing pole with about 3 meters of line, circle hook, floater, small bead, light lead
2 standard fishing pole with a reel, basic slip rig for catfish.
Bait: Cockroaches, giant night crawlers, earth worms, crickets
Camera: Iphone 7plus with a tripod

Water conditions: Moderate current, high to moderate water level, overall good conditions
Time Fished: 7am to 11am

Water Clarity: Murky, top visibility
